Have been working with Jeff for several years now, without any problem. Of course cars had minor issues that we caused as well as it caused themselves from wear.
The most important part is that we always resolved everything quickly and in professional manner.
Book at least a month in advance to really get the car you want.
The best car rental that I have worked with.

Alquiler Buggies en Cumbuco a Jeff Stone un ladrón.
Estuvimos alojados en el Vila Gale de Cumbuco y desde Buenos Aires alquilamos 2 Buggies. El día que nos trajo al hotel los buggies no tenían combustible y estaban muy deteriorados, si o sí teníamos que ir al centro de Cumbuco para cargar combustible y así poder utilizarlos, luego de pagarlos en efectivo el día del alquiler (un gran error). Por cualquier falla tenes que dejar una tarjeta de crédito para que se asegure el cobro (ya sea si pinchas una goma/falla/multas/etc.
Según Jeff uno de los Buggies tenía el motor nuevo (y funcionaba bastante mal saltaban los cambios) al 3er día que le hicimos un reclamos nos informo que el mecánico se había olvidado de ponerle algo al "motor", y en vez de venir con un buggie nuevo vino a retirarlo y no quizo descontarnos el día.
Es un estafador y encima le pedimos que nos de un bidón de combustible por cualquier eventualidad el cual nos cobró 50 reales más.
Cuando le solicitamos que retire los buggies el sábado a las 18hs vino a buscarlos sin reconocer el día que debía descontarnos y por supuesto no nos devolvió los 50 reales de la nafta (la cual deberíamos haberla tirado sobre el Buggie) POR LADRON y ESTAFADOR

No vuelvo a alquilarle un buggie nunca más espero les sirva el aviso

Very Professional. We had a small car for two weeks, delivered at the airport of Fortaleza as soon as deplaned and returned at same airport on departure. Jeff Stone always available on request.....A great contribution to enjoy vacations. Thanks.

I rented a 4X4 Toyota HiLux from 2018. The car was poorly maintained. The motorhub could not be opened due to corrosion and the parking brake did not work. The seats were worn. After 500 km the transmission box broke down. The car had to be repaired in Fortaleza. Cumbuco Car Rental accused us for bad use and threatened that we had to pay for a new motor, they did not offer an exchange car and finally we were charged 11.700 Reais = 2400 Euro for repair. I can not recommend the company or the car with the plate: BCA5B84

Great car rental company based in Cumbuco. They picked us up from Fortaleza airport. We hired a 4x4 at a very reasonable cost to drive up the north coast to Atins. They were very helpful and facilitated our every request. Jeff speaks fluent English so communication is not a problem. We had an unfortunate incident where another car side swiped us leaving a small dent to our 4x4. We sent photos of the damage to Jeff and he quoted a very good price for the repair. We paid in cash so they refunded the excess deposit in full. Jeff even went to the trouble of sending us a damage report so that we could claim it back from our insurance in the UK. I highly recommend this company if you are considering renting a car to travel around the north coast of Brazil.

We had a great downwind trip experience with Jeff this year from Cumbuco to Icarai. He drove us all the way up north with a brand new Toyota Hilux, clean, cozy and spacious. We were very fortunate to have Jeff as a driver first of all due to his bilingual ability in English and Portuguese which is a great asset in Brazil. Above this he is a very good/cautious driver with great knowledge of both the coast line and mainland. He has been great company for us with his humor, wits and outgoing persona as well as a great advisor in all sort of things from places to eat to daily activities... He is very adaptive, flexible person and I highly recommend his company. Looking forward to our next downwind trip next year :)

Jeff took me and 15 ! others on an amazing two day trip over the beaches from Cumbuco to Jericoacoara, and we could not have asked for a nicer way to start our holiday. In 5 buggies we drove over the beaches, through remote villages, beautiful dunes and over tiny man-powered ferry crossings. It was very nice to see the amazing nature and to get an insight of places you normally wouldn't visit as a tourist. Jeff and his crew took great care of us - not for a moment have we felt unsafe - and the fact that Jeff speaks fluent Portuguese aside from his native English is also a big plus. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an adventure!
